We want to get more transit for more people! This includes better bus service to the beautiful wilderness that surrounds our cities.
Here's the idea:
1) Take the bus.
2) Go on a hike.
3) Get some video footage.
4) Create an online campaign asking our elected officials for better transit service to trailheads and bodies of water.
Who knew advocacy could be so fun?
We will be meeting at Vancouver City Centre Station at Noon, but feel free to meet us at another stop along the way, or at Lighthouse Park. The 250 Horseshoe Bay will take us there; stop times are listed in the schedule below.
12:22 PM -- Bus [250 Horseshoe Bay] departs Downtown Vancouver from Westbound W Georgia @ Granville.
1:05 PM -- Bus [250 Horseshoe Bay] arrives at Lighthouse Park.
-Bring lots of water and possibly a light snack.
-This hike will take place on uneven terrain, making it unsuitable for people with severe physical disabilities.
-We will be filing a trip plan through AdventureSmart, in case of an emergency. This is always a good idea when spending time outdoors. Let's not underestimate the power of nature.
